There are weddings... and then there’s Shannon & Adam’s wedding—a celebration filled with love, laughter, smoke bombs, and a whole lot of personality.

About The Ashes Barns

Nestled in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside, The Ashes Barns set the perfect backdrop for Shannon & Adam’s November wedding. The historic stone barns, twinkling fairy lights, and natural charm created a warm and inviting atmosphere despite the chilly autumn air.

Rustic Vibes & Party Time

The barn reception was decorated in true rustic style: think soft greenery, glowing candlelight, and wooden details with a personal touch of a lot of orange. Guests enjoyed speeches that were both hilarious and heartfelt, followed by dancing that went late into the night.

The love, laughter, and slightly chaotic dance floor energy made it clear—this was a party no one would forget.

Stand Out Moments

A Ceremony Full of Feels

From the moment guests arrived, it was clear this wedding would be something special. Shannon made her entrance looking stunning, her dress trailing elegantly as she walked down the aisle toward Adam, who was full of emotion and delight to see his bride.

Their ceremony struck the perfect balance between heartfelt and lighthearted, with traditional vows and two readings from the brothers, had everyone alternating between crying and laughing. The moment they were pronounced married, the room erupted in cheers—and more than a few happy tears with confetti covering every inch of the ceremony room upon their exit walk.

The Double Father Reveal

One of the standout moments of the day came before the ceremony: a special father reveal, but with both dads. The raw emotion when Shannon stepped out in her dress and saw the pride in their eyes? Absolutely priceless. A powerful and touching moment that added so much depth to the day.

Couple Goals

After the "I dos," Shannon & Adam snuck away for their couple shoot—and honestly, goals. They wandered through the grounds of The Ashes Barns, cozying up by the lakes and laughing like no one was watching. Brett James Photography captured every candid moment effortlessly, while myself with the help Blackshaw Visuals filmed it all with our signature cinematic touch.

And then came the smoke bombs.

Yes, you read that right. Smoke bombs. Shannon & Adam brought some orange to their portraits, lighting up the November landscape in clouds. It was playful, dramatic, and then some. If you're wondering how to make wedding photos unforgettable—this is how.

Final Thoughts

Shannon & Adam’s wedding was a joyful reminder of what it’s all about: connection, family, and having fun. Their big day at The Ashes Barns was a rustic dream with modern flair, captured to perfection by Brett James Photography, Timeless Exposure Films & Blackshaw Visuals.

Wishing these two legends a lifetime of laughter, adventure, and colour-filled memories!
